6 years with team

C/P/SS/OF

I have been a Duck for 6 years! The experience is perfect for a player that wants to work hard all year. Because of our year round training and conditioning you become very close to your teammates and coaches. My team is my family-plain and simple. I am very lucky to be surrounded by hard working players each year.
Every week our coaches work on making us better and I’ve learned so much more than I thought I could at 15U. Our next goal is College connecting and our coaches are mapping out how to get there. One important thing is that I am a Pitcher and Catcher without any arm injury all this time. I trust my trainers 100% to keep me healthy!

The Ducks give every player the same coaching and opportunity to go all the way. Every season they step it up and bring more to the table to match the ability of the best player and give extra training time for the hungry player.

My training as a catcher with the Ducks is amazing! I have been working on pop times, understanding the strike zone with my pitchers and have learned the importance of the catcher-umpire relationship for over 3 years.

I really look forward to our catcher/pitcher practices every week so I can learn pitches of each teammate and help them during games especially when the zone is small.

Also, our combined practices with the 15U team is awesome because you get to see what the next level of baseball looks like and they help the younger teams practice harder!

As a hitter I have come a long way. It’s never easy to bounce back from a rough hitting game but my coaches have made me a very consistent hitter.

As you can see I play many positions and I am very happy my coaches give me the chance to work on all of them. Our goal is for our teams to make high school ball and I really trust that I am ready.

I hope many serious players consider being a Duck! You will get so much training and some awesome players to learn from too.

JACK #20

3 YEARS WITH TEAM

C/OF/2ND

Parents Perspective:

Jack has developed into an outstanding catcher, through the training and mentoring from his coaches/trainers on the Ducks. He has become more of a leader on the field, as the catcher, and a quality utility player for the team. His baseball skills have surpassed others in his age group and school teams over the past 3 years.

The Oakland Ducks organization is a well run and organized operation. They provide a good path for the players to become well rounded, from skill development to personal mental growth of the game. They teach the players to understand strategies and tactics of the game. The Ducks are Committed to making each player a better person at the end of the day!

Perspective Players and Parents:

you will not be disappointed in being a part of Duck Country. It's a good group of families with all different experiences and backgrounds, just like you would find in your neighborhood. The Key to our Ducks success is everyone participates in one way or another. "Many hands make light work"

Player Perspective:

As a Duck Player, I get very good support from my teammates. They have kept me calm and allowed me to succeed in my role as the team catcher. When we are between games, I really enjoy my time with my teammates at hotels, restaurants or doing things as a group of families.

Perspective Players:

The reason you should come to the Ducks is because it is not just a good baseball team, it's a family that is always with you and is willing to help whenever it is needed.

JOE #2

2 YEARS WITH TEAM

OF/2ND/P

Parent Perspective:

The Ducks are a great baseball club. My son came over from rec baseball. The level of competition and skill set is very different.

The Ducks have, hands down, the most training & practicing than the teams in our area. Always different camps and one on one hitting, pitching & catching with Mark Avery.

Coach Nick is the best coach my son has ever played for. He has worked hard to help my son develop. He doesn’t loose his cool and scream on the field. During game play Nick manages the game.

The Baseball Club is very dedicated to training and development of the human playing the game. That means we have classes every week so the young athletes have the mental understanding as to why they are doing what they are doing during a play. The Ducks are a distinguished team that expect players to elevate those struggling not quit and have a hissy fit on the field then make fun of your teammates. That is completely unacceptable. The Ducks will take out the trash if they need to in a professional way.

I looked from May till August trying to figure out which teams would help my young athlete develop. So he could meet his goal of playing high school baseball. I drive 45 minutes one way to practice and training, sometimes six days a week. All teams in our area are not organized, do not play fall ball, do not practice or train in the off season until January. We start training in November! Kids choose reasonable team goals with coach Nick and coach Ryan who continue to hold the boys accountable. They train in metrics and measure metrics in all categories of the game.

The best attribute is how squared away my son has become in school life and home life. The Ducks have influenced my kid to be a hard worker and dependable.

Player Perspective:

I want players to know, if they are considering joining the duck family that when I joined the team I could barely hit the ball. And now I train harder and hit harder to contunue to develop.

Team Highlights! Playing in championship games have been exciting. Being apart of those games continues to teach me how to develop my skills as a player.

If you want to be a Duck, be humble and elevate your teammates. We work to be a close team and never give up playing. We practice hard, train hard, play hard and work hard. Determination is needed.

2 YEARS WITH TEAM

2ND/OF/P

2 years playing with the Ducks with multiple years attending Duck camps and clinics.

Obvious growth in baseball IQ, arm strength, pitching development (huge surprise), and bat speed! Jacob went from NOBF/FASST level to solid AA USSSA skills.

The Ducks training facilities are top notch and the training opportunities are endless - off season and in season. Step up to the baseball development buffet and take all you want!

Simply put- we came for the coaching, we stay for the coaching!

6 YEARS WITH TEAM

P/3RD/OF

The Oakland Ducks has been my team for 6 years. I started in 10U and was still not sure if baseball was for me. My coaches helped me believe in myself and have never stopped. My favorite part of my training is Duck Camps! We meet college players who coach and teach us about being a collegiate athlete. We are have a former Minor league coach and former Major league coach who understand the pressures of the game and are there for us year round.

I love our conditioning program and always being signed up in the competitive tournaments.

Our team is based on respect, respect and respect! Team stats over individual stats, positive mindsets and hard work. My teammates and coaches make me want to give my best every inning.

I appreciate all the Duck families who treat me like their own and are always there to show support!
